Cutting-Edge Tech That Emphasizes Patient Comfort
Here at Premier Family Dentistry, we firmly believe in making patient comfort an absolute priority. While having a cozy, family-friendly office in Bloomfield helps with this, it’s also important to utilize modern dental technology. With various instruments, devices, and types of software designed to promote accuracy and optimal outcomes, we can also provide a more positive, comfort-focused experience for each of our patients. Read on to learn more about some of the in-house equipment we’ll be using during your upcoming visit!
Digital Impressions
In the past, the process for taking dental impressions wasn’t exactly quick or convenient, not to mention, that it was often quite uncomfortable for patients due to the gooey, foul-tasting impression materials used. Rather than put our patients through this, we’re happy to instead utilize our iTero digital impression system for a much more streamlined and comfortable process. This device allows us to create a digital, 3D model of your teeth that can be viewed on a nearby monitor. From there, we can easily begin planning out custom-made restorations and other types of treatment plans.
Soft Tissue Laser
Many dental offices these days still rely on traditional scalpels and sutures for certain procedures, but Dr. Abboushi is proud to instead turn to laser dentistry. With the help of his soft tissue laser, he’s able to treat a wide range of issues, including those affecting the gums in order to create more balanced and healthy gum lines. Better yet, the laser also facilitates quicker, more comfortable procedures and expedited recovery timelines.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner
Certain dental services sometimes require more advanced imaging than what traditional X-rays can provide, which is why our office is also pleased to house an advanced CT/Cone Beam Scanner. Using this device, we can quickly scan your entire head and mouth to create a 3D image that our team can then use to assess your oral health and even manipulate to create custom treatment plans.
Intraoral Camera
In dentistry, there’s often a need for taking a closer look at the teeth, gums, and other oral structures, and simply put, the human eye isn’t always capable of catching everything! This is where intraoral cameras come in handy; these small, wand-like devices have a digital camera on one end that’s connected to a nearby monitor. This allows Dr. Abboushi to show you exactly what he sees and explain everything in great detail; not to mention, it also ensures that every single area within your smile is thoroughly examined.
